Elysian Drop Troops online resources

When I first started to get into Elysians one of the the difficulties I faced was the limited amount of current information avaliable online. So here is a summary of some of the more useful online resources that I have found since I started, and feel free to add in any ones I miss in the comments.

1d4chan tactics section

https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Imperial_Guard(8E)#Elysian_Drop_Troops

This is a sub-section of the Imperial Guard tactics article, and provides a good overview on all the available options and some suggestions for their use. It is certainly worth a read, but don't take it all as gospel

Wahapedia Elysian Drop troops section

http://wahapedia.ru/wh40k8ed/factions/elysian-drop-troops/

This is an incredible useful resource, and contains all the rules for the game, including all the rules for Elysian drop troops, and is continually updated with and changes from Chapter approved and the FAQs. This site is a realistic replacement for your rulebooks. I find it useful when I am away from home and need to look something up. It also has the updated points costs for all our units as well.

Elysian Drop troops Facebook group

https://www.facebook.com/groups/607976165980083/

This is quite an active Facebook group and is great for painting and list advice. Also great for just looking a pictures of Elysian models people post. It is a closed group so just apply for access.

Elysian Drop troops HQ sub-reddit

Not as active as the Facebook group, but still a useful resource.

Elysian Drop Troops Command Discord server

https://discord.gg/STAKfb3

A bit newer that the other resources above and quite active. Just recently has become host to a project to re-write an Elysian Codex, and I see a lot of great ideas keep popping up. Also has separate groups for individual player regiments.
Really useful if you just want to chat to other people who play Elysians.

There are also a few blogs, but not much current stuff. Here is one that has an interesting 3 part article.

So, if there is anything else that you know of, please post in the comments.
And expect more frequent updates in future as I have now finished my move and getting back into hobby stuff.

  1. I'm a big fan of building with Battlescribe, and letting it print the relevant rules/points.

    1. Very true. I use Battlescribe all the time and didn't consider that people might not be aware of it. The only aspect of Battlescribe I don't like is I wish it had some better list output options.

  2. I would add the Elysian's lexicanum entry for those interested in the lore side of things
